What is the Jungle Challenge?

The Jungle Challenge is an indoor attraction containing climbing walls, zip lines, high ropes activities, challenges and games, all based around an immersive jungle environment based on the show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Guests take on the challenges to win stars, in the hope of being crowed King or Queen of the Jungle.

Is there a minimum age restriction?

All guests must be within the height and weight limits. If they are, they can participate

Please note we reserve the right to discretely check height and weight on site when required.

For health and safety, no under 8s will be admitted into the attraction as a spectator.

No guest under 18 will be admitted without a guest over 18 with them, this can be as a participating guest or a spectator.

What are the height and weight restrictions?

The height and weight restrictions are as follows:

Height: Min 1.35m or 4ft 5in,  Max 2.0m or 6ft 6in

Weight: Min 30Kg or 4st 10lb,  Max 114Kg or 18st 0lb

Please note we reserve the right to discretely check height and weight on site when required.

Will I have to do any eating trials?

There are no ‘Bushtucker Trials’ within the experience, so unless the thought of drinking a coffee of grabbing a snack from the Outback Shack sounds scary, you’ll do just fine! If you are feeling brave though, we do have pre-packaged ethical bug snacks for sale in the Outback shack and gift shop.

Does the Attraction feature any live bugs, insects or critters?

No live bugs, insects or animals feature in the Jungle Challenge. There are animal and critter sounds in the attraction but you will never see them.  The only exceptions are images used in gameplay.

Can I come in and watch others in my group, but not participate in the trials?

We have introduced spectator tickets for any guest over the age of 8 who wants to attend but not participate in any of the trials or attractions.

Tickets cost £10 and must be purchased alongside general admission tickets.

Full terms on Spectator tickets include:

  • A Spectator ticket allows guests to enter the Jungle to supervise guests under 18, or where participation in the trials and activities is not required or possible.
  • Spectator tickets must be purchased alongside general admission tickets, not on their own. Any guest with a spectator ticket and no guests with them who have general admission will be refused entry.
  • All guests regardless of ticket type are required to complete a guest profile and complete a waiver prior to entry.
  • A spectator wristband will be issued to all spectator ticket holders, which will not carry the relevant permissions to allow admission or participation in the trials and activities within the attraction.
  • Spectators may choose to upgrade in venue to a full ticket by payment of the difference in ticket price
  • Regardless of spectator of general admission tickets, all groups must have a guest over 18 with any group consisting of children’s tickets, no more than 8 children to one adult aged 18 or over.
  • Spectators must remain within the attraction for the duration of any children with them remaining on site.
  • Spectators acting as supervisors for children must have the permission of the parent or guardian of said children, and must complete and sign a waiver for all guests under 18 in their party.
  • Spectator tickets are limited per session to avoid congestion in the attraction.

How many people can play?

You can play the Jungle challenge alone, as a family, or in a group. Please note, sessions have a limited capacity, and any larger group may need to split across different entry times.

How do I win Stars?

Each player takes on our various trials and are awarded stars depending on how well they do. The stars are allocated to your player profile and you can check your progress on the screens at various points as you go.

Do I have to do every trial?

The Jungle Challenge is designed to allow guests to take on as many or as few challenges as you feel comfortable doing. You can do trials in any order, and skip any you think may make you shout “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here”!

We also have spectators tickets for those who would just like to watch.

What ratio of adults are needed with children under 18?

Adults must be present with children 17 years and under. The maximum ratio is that adults can bring up to 8 children with them, and they must remain under supervision at all times.

Will my bag be checked when I visit?

We reserve the right to check bags and belongings. Bag checks, security presence and on-site security are all part of keeping you and our team safe. We ask all guests to cooperate with on-site security procedures to prevent delay in admission.

Can I bring in children or babies with me?

Unfortunately guests under the age of 8, toddlers and babies are not permitted for health and safety reasons.

What should I wear?

A guide to what to wear can be found on our Plan Visit section of the website.  However, we recommend guests wear activewear and trainers. The challenges involve climbing, running, jumping and probably getting warm!

How long does the Jungle Challenge take?

We anticipate that your experience could take up to 3 hours. The time taken to to do the Jungle Challenge will vary between busy and quieter times, and depending on how many trials you are brave enough to face!

Can I take photos inside the attraction?

With the exception of a selfie moment at the start of your journey, all phones and cameras must be placed in our free secure lockers whilst inside the attraction to protect them, and to keep all guests safe. Each ticket includes up to 5 free digital photos from within the attraction too.

What should I bring with me?

Please only bring the essentials with you, and it all must fit in a 30x30cm locker. No additional bags, shopping or belongings can be accepted into the attraction, so please leave them in your car, at home or in your hotel.

Why are there dates without any sessions/availability?

The Jungle Challenge does sell online in advance and  it is possible the session you are looking at has limited capacity, is already sold out, has a party booking, private hire, or is under routine maintenance. If this is the case, please check an alternative date. Additional dates will be released throughout the year in blocks, so you are sure to find a date to enter the Jungle Challenge. What are your opening hours?

Opening hours can be found on our Plan Visit section of our website. Operating hours are extended at the weekends and during school holidays, and are subject to change. For the most up to date availability, please see the live ticketing system, found by clicking Buy Tickets.

Will I be provided with or have to wear any safety equipment?

Many of our challenges are either at height, or require climbing. As safety is our highest priority, guests will be issued with a harness and helmet which MUST be worn for all equipment as specified on the activities health and safety notice at the entry to each activity. Various sizes are available.

Can I just watch or spectate?

We have introduced spectator tickets for any guest over the age of 8 who wanted to attend but not participate in any of the trials or attractions.

Tickets cost £10 and must be purchased alongside general admission tickets.

  • A Spectator ticket allows guests to enter the Jungle to supervise guests under 18, or where participation in the trials and activities is not required or possible.

Will we see any celebrities or be part of the show?

As this is an attraction and not actually part of the TV show, it is very unlikely you will see any celebrities, but you will still have fun!

Can I take a Pushchair/Buggy around with me?

As the attraction is only accessible to spectators by those aged 8 and upwards, we cannot accommodate any prams, buggies or push chairs at or within the attraction. We have lockers but do not have secure storage for larger items.

Are there toilets on site?

Of course! Toilet facilities for all are located within the attraction. Look out for the Dunnies, our accessible toilets and also family room are easily found on site.

Do you take cash or card on site?

The Jungle Challenge is a cash free site, but we welcome all major credit and debit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Android Pay

What is included in my ticket?

Each Standard ticket gives you entry to the Jungle challenge and the trials within. During your visit you can choose to purchase and additional ticket for The Spyrider, Europe’s first indoor powered Rollglider. Currently, Spyrider costs £3 per person to ride.

All tickets include up to 5 free digital photographs of your time in the Jungle – you must complete the challenges to receive all your photos.

What is the waiver and who has to complete this?

All guests attending the Jungle Challenge are required to complete a mandatory waiver. Any guest under 18 will need to have the waiver signed by an adult over 18, which can be the parent or guardian, or by an attending adult with the express permission of the parent or guardian of the person under 18. Can I participate in the activities if I have a heart, neck, back condition or are pregnant?

Some parts of the attraction may be unsuitable for guests with heart, neck, or back conditions. If you are pregnant please do not participate. We recommend that guests who have had recent surgery or an injury do not participate or seek advice in advance.

Does the attraction have audio, flashing lights, strobes, theatrical lighting, smoke or haze effects?

The attraction features immersive audio alongside ambient sounds of other guests and activities in play. This may prove too loud for any guests who are sensitive to sounds. There are no flashing lights or strobes used, there is theatrical lighting, use of projectors and multiple screens.

There are currently no activities or areas of the attraction that use smoke or haze effects.

ACCESSIBILITY

Is the attraction fully accessible?

Please see our accessibility statement for full details. We ask any guest with accessibility requirements to contact us in advance.

Do you offer carer tickets?

Guests who have the correct documentation are entitled to one free carer ticket for the attraction.

However, the guest with the disability and any further members of their party will pay full price. Please show the relevant paperwork as well as suitable photo ID of the named recipient on arrival at the attraction. (see access statement for list of accepted forms of eligibility).

A carer must be over 14 years of age and capable of assisting the guest who has the disability. The carer would be expected to understand the disabled person’s condition and assist them in managing it for the duration of their visit. If more than one carer’s ticket is required, a letter from a GP or consultant is needed stating the number of carers required.

In order to access a free carer ticket, proof of disability is required; therefore, carers tickets cannot be booked online in advance. Any disabled guest/s can book their ticket online and can provide the required proof on the day to arrange admission of their free carer/s.

For proof of disability, please bring any ONE of the following forms of documentation:

  • Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or DLA/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 16-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book
  • Attendance Allowance or Carer’s Allowance letter of award
  • Incapacity Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded Incapacity Benefit or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • A valid Blue Badge
  • In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI)
  • A local authority registration document which is local to the attraction where it is being submitted
  • A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card
  • Credibility’s Access CardPlease note, our team members are not medically trained to assess individual’s disabilities and therefore we require the above documentation on arrival, or you may be politely asked to pay the full entry price.

Are there Accessible toilets on site?

Of course! Toilet facilities for all are located within the attraction. Look out for the Dunnies, our accessible toilets and also family room are easily found on site.

What disabled access do you offer?

Can I attend in a wheelchair / mobility scooter?

The majority of the ground floor within the attraction is wheelchair accessible. For the activities themselves, due to the nature of the equipment and challenges, we advise discussing your visit with a member of the team prior to booking and arrival, to discuss which areas are accessible and where modification may be required to experience the activities.

For mobility scooters, please contact us ahead of your visit so that we may advise on all areas accessible to mobility scooters, based on the size and specifications of your particular vehicle.

Please note that we do not have the facility to store or charge any external equipment.

Can I bring a guide dog to the attraction?

Assistance / Guide dogs are welcome in the attraction but please see our Accessibility Statement and please contact us in advance.

Where is the disabled parking located?

Please read our Getting Here section of Plan Visit which should answer any questions that you may have regarding parking or public transport. If you have any specific questions, please contact us.

We do not offer ear defenders however, guests are welcome to wear their own within the attraction however, for any activity where a helmet is required, the wearing of a helmet will take priority.

FACILITIES

Is there a Café in the Jungle?

Drinks and snacks are available to purchase from the Outback Shack, and there is free water in camp.

Can I bring food and drink into the Attraction?

With the exception of sealed water bottles, there is no food or drink allowed to be brought into the attraction. Drinks and snacks are available to purchase from the Outback Shack, and there is free water in camp.

Do you have any changing facilities on site?

We have a dedicated accessible toilet alongside a family room with toilet facilities and a larger room for where additional assistance is required. Please note, we do not have dedicated changing rooms and do not allow children under 8 or babies into the attraction.

Do you have lockers or a cloakroom?

We have complimentary lockers to use for your phones, keys and small bags, but we have no cloakroom or large bag storage, and  ask all guests to refrain from bringing any shopping, large bags and other large items with them to the attraction. Bags must be smaller than 30cm x 30cm as this is the maximum locker size available.

Do you have first aid facilities on site?

We have a dedicated first aid room which includes cold storage for medicines and for those who may require first aid attention during their visit.

Do you have ear defenders available?

We do not offer ear defenders however, guests are welcome to wear their own within the attraction however, for any activity where a helmet is required, the wearing of a helmet will take priority.

Who do I contact if I lose something in the attraction?

Please let a member of our team know as soon as possible if you think you have dropped or lost an item during your visit. Any lost property will be kept safe for 30 days from being handed in or found. Contact us should you leave anything behind.

COVID-19

What procedures are in place at the attraction?

We currently invite all guests to wear face masks or coverings when in the attraction, and to remember social distancing and use of hand sanitiser located around the venue.

Please respect those around you, and remember that many guests may still be nervous during the transition from the restrictions that have been in place.

We ask guests not to visit the venue if they have symptoms of, have tested positive for, or have been in contact with anyone with Covid-19, and ask that all guests use the track and trace system on arrival.

Will I have to wear a mask?

For your comfort and safety, all team members will wear face coverings throughout the attraction. As an indoor attraction, we also invite guests to wear a face covering whilst in the attraction, unless medically exempt or excluded due to the recommended age for wearing a face covering.

What if I don't feel well or have symptoms prior to my visit?

If you have any symptoms, have tested positive for or are awaiting results of a test, or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms or testing positive for Covid-19. Please DO NOT attend the attraction, CONTACT US and we will rearrange your visit for another time.

Am I able to rebook my visit if I have, or have symptoms of Covid-19?

Do you participate in the NHS Track and Trace programme?

Yes, all guests will be asked to scan in on arrival to check in at our location. Should you or your group come into contact with anyone testing positive for Covid, the NHS will contact you with advice.

Where is the Jungle Challenge located?

We are on the first floor of the Quayside shopping Centre (formerly known at the Lowry shopping centre) facing Vue Cinema. You can get to us via the main front entrance, the WaterGardens entrance, or via the car park entrances.

How do I get to the Attraction?

Where is the nearest Car Park?

There is a multi storey car park within the Quayside shopping centre, car parks around MediaCityUK, and various park and ride options locally. Please see the Plan Visit section of our website for more information

Which is the nearest Tram stop to the Jungle Challenge?

We are located just a few minutes walk from both the MediaCityUK and Imperial war museum Metrolink tram stops. Please see the Plan Visit section of our website for more information

PAYMENT

Do you take cash or card on site?

The Jungle Challenge is a cash free site, but we welcome all major credit and debit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Android Pay

What credit and debit cards do you take as payment through the booking page?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. We operate a cashless venue so please ensure you have a valid debit or credit card available for any purchases.

Can I pay for my tickets over the phone?

All purchases are made through our website, however should you experience technical difficulty when making your booking please contact us via our Get in touch form.

Do you accept foreign currency as payment on site?

No. We are a cash free venue, so all payments on site must be with a suitable credit or debit card, or contactless payment method.

What is the student ticket and when are they available?

Our new student tickets are available most Thursdays (excluding school holidays), and can be purchased on any available session.

Valid Student ID is required on arrival, and must be presented with your tickets. Failure to provide proof of eligibility will result in the guest being required to pay the difference in ticket price.

Students aged 16 & 17 will not be required to attend with an adult (aged 18+), but WILL be required to have a parent/guardian (over 18) complete a waiver for them ahead of their visit. Failure to obtain a signed waiver will result in refusal of entry.

I have a Star Pass, how do I book?

As a Star Pass holder, you should have some unique codes sent to you recently. To redeem these for tickets, please click here and follow all instructions carefully.

Do I need to book in advance?

Due to the limited capacity of guests on each session, we strongly advise that you book online for the date and time that suits as tickets may sell out fast. Tickets may be available on the day but this cannot be guaranteed.

What is the booking confirmation I have been sent with my tickets?

Your gameplay, waivers and photos are linked to a profile which you need to create, this links to a wristband that we give you on arrival. Please follow the links in the booking confirmation email to set these up. Filling this in ahead of your visit will speed up your admission on site.

What credit and debit cards do you take as payment through the booking page?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. The attraction is cashless so please ensure you have a credit or debit card for any purchases on site.

What if a member of my group cannot attend but someone else takes their place?

You have the ability to change the profile registration details in advance or on site, and will need to ensure that the waiver is completed correctly by or on behalf of the new guest attending.

Is there a special rate for school or educational visits?

Schools and educational packages will be launched soon please register your interest in the Get in touch section.

I regularly organise group outings; do you offer discounts?

For groups of up to 30 guests, tickets can be purchased online through our ticketing system. For coach groups or larger groups, please contact us via our Get in touch form.

Can I purchase gift cards or vouchers?

Gift vouchers are available from our ticketing system and are valid for 12 months from purchase.

What should I do if I have not received a booking confirmation email?

Please check your spam or email junk box as tickets sometimes like to hide in there. However, if you still can’t find your ticket please contact us via our Get in touch section of the site.

Do I need to print my tickets or can I show them on my phone?

Printed tickets are useful to have available. However, we can scan tickets from your phone. Please ensure your phone is charged if you do not bring printed tickets.

When and how will I receive my tickets?

All tickets will be emailed to the email address provided at the time of booking by  the lead booker. Please check your junk mail or spam folder in case they find their way there. If you do not receive your tickets, please Contact us in advance and we can resend them.

Can I alter my booking once tickets have been purchased?

With the exception of Covid-19 related attendance issues, unfortunately we are unable to amend booking dates and time slots once purchased, for this reason we ask all guests to ensure that they have booked for the correct date and time they are able to attend

Do you offer refunds?

As specified at the time of booking, we are unable to refund any tickets purchased.

The date I wanted shows as sold out, are there extra tickets to purchase on the day?

Due to the limited capacity available for our sessions we do not hold back any tickets. We advise that you check the calendar on the Buy Tickets page to see the live availability during opening hours

Do you cater for birthday parties?

We have party rooms on site and can cater for groups between 10 and 60 guests. For more details and to book online, visit our Groups section.

Do you cater for private hire or corporate events/team building

Please contact us to discuss private hire, team building, private events or groups of over 30 guests. We also can cater for Meeting room hire between 10 and 60 guests and smaller group bookings, visit our Groups and Parties section to find out more.
